Classroom Discipline Plan
The following delineates our classroom discipline plan. While there are consequences for breaking the rules, there are also rewards that will positively reinforce good behavior.
Classroom Rules
We raise our hands to speak
We work quietly at our seats
We use voices soft and sweet
We keep our places tidy and neat
We are helpful friendly and fair
We take turns and willingly share
How is Your Day?/ Fishing for Good Behavior
The Behavior Color Chart (How is Your Day?) will serve as a reminder of how students are behaving throughout the day. Students start the day at green. If a student breaks a rule, they will receive a verbal warning and a reminder to make good choices. If the misbehavior continues, the studentwill be asked to go to the chart and flip their card to yellow. Each time he/she breaks one of the classroom rules, they will be asked to go to the chart and flip their card to the next color. At the end of each day, I will record the color your child ended the day with. Anyone who is still on green at the end of the day has been “caught being good.” Students must end the day on green for 5 days in order to visit the treasure chest on Fridays.
